Head of Personnel |
The Head of Personnel is responsible for managing the service department. Additionally they are responsible for handling crew transfers and access changes. They can be viewed as the Captain their right hand man. In the absence of one captain ship will fall to the Head of Personnel. |

Bartender |
Bartenders serve drinks to a tired and thirsty crew. Decorating the bar and working together with the rest of the service department to create a nice environment for the crew to relax in is highly encouraged! This job can be very roleplay oriented at times. |
Botanist |
Botanists grow plants in botany. Most of the time and plants that you will be growing will be for others to use but that does not mean that there is no room for experimenting or personal projects. Botany is one of the more powerful departments and the plants that can be grown are either a curse, or a blessing for the crew. |
Cook |
The cook makes food for the crew to eat and works together heavily with botany to do so. Cooking is one of the more mechanically intensive parts of the game with the sheer amount of interactions and items you can make. It is very rewarding though and a good cook can be the difference between starving to death or eating a good meal. |
Janitor |
Janitors are surprisingly one of the more important jobs aboard the station or ship. They are responsible for keeping the place looking clean and tidy and the more it starts to look like a blood soaked wasteland the more people will act like it is. Janitors are the first line of defense for keeping this from happening. |
Clown |
Honk! Clowns are responsible for entertaining the crew with bad puns and even worse practical jokes. How a clown goes about entertaining the crew is entirely up to them, use your imagination and get creative! |
Mime |
... Mimes are the silent partner in crime of clowns. Similarly the mime their job is to entertain the crew through their own shenanigans. The lack of an ability to speak is just an added layer of difficulty to this job and is a great opportunity to improve your roleplay, try new things and get creative! |
Curator |
Curators are the bookworms among the crew of Artea. Their job consists of keeping the library stocked with interesting literature for the crew to read and other artifacts or works of art. |
Lawyer |
Lawyers are responsible for providing criminals with legal representation in court. Knowledge of Space Law and Standard Operating Procedure is therefore handy to have before you start working on your first case. |
Chaplain |
Chaplains are responsible for everything spiritual. Recruiting people to your religion and conducting funerals for fallen crew members are some of the more common things that can keep a chaplain busy. What your religion is, is entirely up to you and your imagination, be creative and try weaving a nice story to hook others into! |
