The Medical department is what keeps the crew alive. It is quite literally a self sustaining hospital aboard Artea Ships and stations. The means of synthesizing medicine are provided to it along with all the tools possibly needed to locate, find, recover and patch the dead back up so they can get back to work. Duties of the medical department are:
- Treating injured personnel.
- Recovering dead bodies.
- Responding to medical emergencies.
A lot can happen during a shift so it is important that the medical department is prepared to deal with emergencies of any kind. Keeping a sufficient stock of medicine and other supplies is therefore highly important. Doctors, chemists and everyone within the department should make sure that the first duty of the department can be carried out at all times.
